G7 pledges one billion vaccines a year for poorer nations; meanwhile, half that total is administered in the last 15 days
At the recent G7 summit, leaders of the world's seven largest economies pledged to provide one billion vaccines to poorer nations in the next year. The UK Prime minister, Boris Johnson, hailed the pledge, as a "big step towards vaccinating the world." Meanwhile, according to Our World in Data, half a billion vaccine doses were administered in the last fifteen days.
